Leash Locket-Product Review

Looking for a convenient way to control your canine? Leash Locket may be the answer for you!
Leash Locket is a new and innovative device that offers the convenience of a retractable leash but substitutes those bulky handles for a palm-sized 2 oz. gadget that hooks right on your dog’s collar. A traditional clip hooks to the collar’s D-ring and is kept snug on the collar by means of a tiny yet powerful magnet.

The palm-sized Leash Locket

Originally, I was skeptical about this product, but once I learned how to utilize the magnetic feature that keeps the Leash Locket from dangling from the collar, I realized that this is a device whose time has come.

Roxie loves her Leash Locket

Although I’m not sure I’d use this on a daily basis, since I walk my 3 pups together, I love it for taking Roxie (the only one I’d ever let off-leash) for play-time at the park. She can run to her heart’s content without tripping over her dragging leash. If I need to gain quick control over her, I just pop the Leash Locket free from the magnet and voila—she’s contained on a 6-foot lead. The locking mechanism works well, and the “ribbon” type nylon lead is sturdy.

6-foot lead

This is a perfect solution for hiking, camping, and playing at dog-friendly parks when your dog needs the ability to run free. It would lend itself well to a harness, as well.
The Leash Locket comes in 4 colors (Blue, Black, Red and Pink) and 2 sizes-Small (for dogs up to 55 lb.) and Large (up to 90 lb.) Roxie, my mixed-breed herder, weighs 28 lbs and it was the perfect size. When I tried it on my 10-lb. Bichon, it seemed a bit bulky, but he tolerated it fine. Oh, and here’s the icing on the cake-Leash Locket donates a portion of each sale to help abused and neglected animals through the Leash Locket ASTRO Foundation.
